Alec overseas GSVlabs’ enterprise innovation and startup acceleration activities. He leads digital innovation programs for Fortune 500 corporations like Cisco, JetBlue, 3M, AT&T, Intel, IBM and MassMutual, identifying startups for partnership or investment and launching new digital ventures inside or outside the company. Alec also oversees sourcing, due diligence and startups support for GSVlabs’ accelerators and advises dozens of emerging companies across the Big Data, EdTech, Digital Health and Enterprise Software markets. He is also the co-founder of the GSV Pioneer Summit, an annual innovation conference that showcases 100+ leading Seed-to-Series B startups.Alec is a partner in the Maverick Fund, a pre-seed and seed investment syndicate that partners with game-changing founders building businesses that will define the industries of tomorrow. Fund and syndicate investments include Tueo Health (acquired, Apple), Facet Wealth, Trueface, Bid Ops, Kylie.ai and Tara.ai.

He is currently a member of the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Digital Advisory Board and sat on the National Board of Directors of the Cleantech Open, the world’s largest clean technology accelerator, from 2016 through its merger with the LA Cleantech Incubator in 2017. Alec previously worked in securities and finance law and spent several years focused on investment due diligence and cross-border transactions with Miami-based IBC Group. Alec received his B.A. from NYU and J.D. from Georgetown Law.
