As a change agent and design thinking evangelist, Alyssa Ilov has been instrumental in shifting corporate cultures to embrace design driven innovation.

Alyssa leads the Experience Innovation team at PNC which drives innovation for customers, employees and partners. She is committed to instilling a customer centric approach to problem solving by executing and coaching human centered design techniques across the organization. She and her team enable all of PNC’s Lines of Business to gain a deeper understanding of users in order to design products, services and experiences that are relevant, engaging and address customers’ unmet needs. She also provides employees the forums to explore new technologies and trends, contribute ideas and bring their concepts to life through hackathons, expos, crowd-sourced challenges and other programs.

Prior to joining PNC, Alyssa served as Director of Consumer Experience with UPMC Health Plan where she focused on applying human centered design techniques to improve member and patient experiences through the development of services, tools and digital engagements. Previous to that Alyssa spent 10 years at a Pittsburgh-based research design consultancy, Fathom, developing strategies and design directives for physical environments, services, products and branding.
